Wolter Group Named Midwest Distributor for Tropos Motors Lineup
Wolter Group LLC, one of the Midwest’s largest material handling distributors, announces its partnership with Silicon Valley-based Tropos Motors, to sell and service Tropos Motors’ ABLE lineup of electric compact utility vehicles (eCUVs).
The Wolter Group, through their dealer network, will serve as the Midwest distributor for Tropos Motors full lineup of eCUVs. Wolter Group will assemble the vehicles in Brookfield, Wisconsin. The company seeks to assist businesses, universities, and municipalities to reduce their carbon footprint and to lower the total cost of ownership of their maintenance fleets.
Tropos Motors’ ABLE is a low-speed electric compact utility vehicle, which employs the latest electric vehicle technology. With its all-electric, street legal, zero-emissions design, it is targeted to sustainably replace larger vehicles, with virtually no tradeoffs.
”The unified family of companies making up the Wolter Group is easily recognizable for their collective strength and rich history,” said John Bautista, CEO, Tropos Motors. “This partnership gives us access to a very large market that can benefit from the capability and versatility of our ABLE platform.”
“By transitioning fleets to from gasoline and diesel to electric vehicles, fleet managers reduce emissions, maintenance expenses, fuel expenses, and overall achieve a lower total cost of ownership,” said Jerry Weidmann, president, Wolter Group. “Additionally, often there are local and state incentives available to further offset the EV cost savings compared to internal combustion vehicles.
“Our team at Wolter Group looks forward to working with customers to help them right-size their fleet, saving money and reducing their environmental footprint,” said Weidmann. “We’re also seeking to further expand our dealer network throughout the U.S. to further support growing clean-energy initiatives.”
