Illinois Material Handling Acquires Scott Lift Truck

In our efforts to serve the Illinois market in a more efficient and comprehensive way, Illinois Material Handling has acquired Scott Lift Truck, a full-service dealership with 40 years of experience in the material handling/lift truck business with a facility located in Elk Grove Village.

You probably heard about the acquisition when it was first announced by Wolter Group’s CEO, Otto. J. Wolter, in September of this year. We thought it was important to emphasize the benefits that this strategic decision brings to both companies.

Illinois Material Handling is part of the material handling arm of the Wolter Group, which includes Wolter Material Handling and Wisconsin Lift Truck, one of the largest distributors in the country. This means that by joining our ranks, Scott Lift Truck’s team not only helps us grow, but also becomes part of the Wolter Group – a company that delivers superior service to over 15,000 customers in the three state area.

The addition of Scott Lift Truck’s highly skilled and dedicated staff members to our family means that we’ll now be able to offer our clients the knowledge and experience that no other material handling company in the Illinois area can match.
