Mother-Daughter Cart Systems
Mother-daughter carts consist of multiple carts, daughter, that sit within the main cart holder, moth. This method of material handling has simplified the process by allowing the daughter carts to be unloaded without disconnecting from the mother cart. The mother-daughter cart process allows for smaller but more frequent deliveries, giving the manufacturing or custom manufacturing process the flexibility needed to produce its orders.
Mother-daughter carts are often used in work cells located outside of the production lines, which can deliver a variety of parts and items in sequential order, giving the work cell what it needs with the processing space allotted.
The daughter carts can be flexible to the needs of the work cell – sitting static on the mother cart or can tilt and swivel for easy unloading. The mother cart can move on its own or attach multiple mother-daughter carts to a tugger.
Automatic Transfer Carts
When the time is of the essence, automatic transfer carts can ensure the process continues without interruption. As part of the automation system, automatic transfer carts can contain conveyor rollers for a smooth transition of heavy, bulky, large, lightweight, or a combination of items, seamlessly from one cart to the next.
Our team of workflow technicians analyzes your process flow from start to finish. During the design phase of the process, our team may include automatic transfer carts to make the process flow smoothly without human intervention.
We have created various automatic transfer carts for various size totes or bins to be delivered to work cells and manufacturing lines.
Kitting Carts
Service areas, work cells and manufacturing assembly often use kitting carts, therefore all components and parts are in one compact space. Kitting carts usually consist of a combination of totes, bins, and cylinders of various sizes to logically fit the parts or components that are needed during the assembly process.
Most kitting carts are on wheels and can swivel and change positions as needed and can also be locked in place by the worker.
Kitting carts can be used through standard sizes, changeable configurations, or custom-made to accommodate the operational workers. To determine the best-kitting cart system for your operation, our engineers will analyze your manufacturing operation and recommend the most efficient design allowing speed, ease of use and flexibility for changing applications.
Tugger Train Cart Systems
For businesses and operations focused on a lean approach, tugger train systems are an ideal solution for efficiently moving materials. The tugger train system supplies the areas of demand, such as packing stations in a warehouse with numerous loads of materials in small batches. This system helps reduce costs in production spaces and can help reduce inventory, energy consumption, as well as accidents through the reduction of heavy traffic.
Stationary & Automated Tilt Carts
Work cells have unique requirements, needing quick results and flexibility in their use. Wolter provides two different types of tilt carts: stationary tilt carts and automated tilt carts.
Stationary tilt carts have the degree of tilt already built into the tilt cart. The bins or totes sit on top of the tilt in a ready position, making it easy and quick for the work cell operations worker to get their job done fast and efficiently.
Automated tilt carts tilt or move to an angle or level that is most ergonomically comfortable for the operations worker to get the task done. If it is 10, 13, 24, or 38 degrees tilt, the automated tilt cart adjusts to the desired height of each worker.
Our workflow team of engineers will analyze your work processes and recommend the best tilt cart for your operation.
